Lost & Found Marrakech is me introducing you to MY Morocco–the country that captured my heart more than 7 years ago…and keeps calling me back, year after year.
It’s an invitation to experience my style of immersive travel by slowing down & deep diving into the local culture in often overlooked ways (like “exploratory field trips” to local grocery stores!). So the days aren’t packed with activities from sun up to sun down, or full of field trips to popular tourist spots along with a ton of pics to prove to the world that you were actually there. In between activities, we’ll just relax—exploring the medina on foot, enjoying some of my favorite local takeout on the roof, reading books in the courtyard (or napping!), and just being present in each moment. All under the backdrop of the Red City.
Yes, I’ve curated some cool, hands-on experiences that will introduce you to a uniquely Moroccan way of life. But...there’s also time for you to explore & connect:
With me as you witness my personal process of creating a life abroad
With local people (including some friends & team who are like family)
With the other women joining your group
And of course, with yourself
Because years of exploring the world solo have taught me that the most transformative experiences require both, relaxation & adventure. Private reflection & connection. So this is an opportunity to let go of everything you think you are in your everyday life, so you can open up to who you might BECOME. A journey centered around Curiosity, Food, Flow, and personally curated by yours truly as I introduce you to a few of the Moroccan experiences, places, people & foods that I love so deeply.

Dayka, how do I know if traveling with you is right for me?
I’m glad you asked.
The type of women I love to travel with: Deeply resonate with my voice, my work, and how I view/move through the world. Are connoisseurs of real talk & honest conversations. Curious about other humans, their stories, and how THEY move through the world. Outgoing enough to interact with new folks, but not afraid of quiet time & entertaining themselves. Love interacting with new cultures, lands, & languages. Confident, unafraid to try new things & get out of their comfort zones. Funny, witty, a little bit sarcastic & doesn’t take herself too seriously.
The type of women I hate traveling with are: Unfamiliar with my voice, my work, or how I move through the world. Rude, demanding, and/or, inconsiderate to anyone on my team, my partners, my friends. Type A personalities and/or high maintenance. Picky eaters who make nasty faces at unfamiliar foods. Uncomfortable with deep convos, spiritual/esoteric/god talk of any kind. Unable to function when disconnected from WIFI. Turned off by astrology & oracle cards. Those who expect me (or anyone on my team) to hand-hold, manage, wait on, or cater to them. “Too busy” to read the prep materials & emails. Chicas who expect to ignore the dress code & wear whatever they want.
So, if you check the boxes in the first group–and none of the ones in the second–then yallah! Come join me in Morocco.

Wait—Dayka, what’s a “riad”?
In a riad, all of the bedrooms and lounge spaces overlook a central courtyard that’s completely open to the sky, surrounded by the sound of chirping birds & the daily calls to prayer. With no exterior windows to see in from the outside, walking through an unsuspecting riad door always feels like you’ve been ushered into a into a peaceful hideaway from the busy souks.
Because of the unique architectural style, it’s, hands-down, one of my favorite types of places to stay in the entire world. But more than that, it’s also a great way to experience a true taste of Moroccan culture & hospitality.
This will be your home away from home during your 7 days in Marrakech.
FAQS:
How much are flights to Marrakech? From NYC/EWR, tickets generally start at $650. From Miami, $750. From LAX, $920. If you need assistance booking your flight, let me know.
How much spending money should I plan to bring? With the current exchange rate of 10 MAD (Moroccan Dirham)= $1.03 USD, Morocco is a relatively inexpensive country, and not a place that will bank the bank unless you want it to! The only spending money you’ll need is for any meals and activities beyond those explicitly included, plus any personal shopping. Expect to spend a minimum of $25USD/day…but as with anything, this is completely dependent on YOUR specific taste level & desires.
How should I pack? Do I have to cover my head? Morocco is a liberal Muslim country so a head covering is not required. But because I do believe in traveling with respect to the local culture, modest dress is required (this means no short shorts, open midriffs, spaghetti straps, strapless tops, or super tight clothing). Inside the trip portal you’ll find a comprehensive packing guide that tells how to pack for your trip.
Is Morocco safe? Yes. The Global Peace Index ranks Morocco as the 84th safest country in the world and the United States as 131, so statistically speaking, you are MUCH safer in Morocco than you are at home! But the same rules apply here that would anywhere else–be smart & pay attention to your surroundings.
What happens after I book? Within 5 minutes, you’ll receive a payment receipt, order confirmation email, plus login access to the private trip portal. Your first order of business is completing the trip intake form to confirm that you’re a good fit for this experience. This is due within 72 hours of your initial payment. If I find that, based on your intake form, you’re not a good fit for this trip, your money will be refunded ASAP.
Do you offer refunds? Nope. Due to the logistics & coordination involved with planning an international trip, all deposits & payments are non-refundable. Travel insurance is required, which can cover your investment in the unlikely event you need to cancel (“Cancel For Any Reason” insurance). I provide travel insurance recommendations inside the portal but most importantly—make sure you’re ready, willing & able to attend BEFORE committing.
I’m confused about the dates–when do I need to depart? To arrive in Marrakech ON the day the retreat begins, you’ll need to DEPART the US one day BEFORE the retreat begins.
What do I need to know to prepare for this trip? Your passport must not expire before November 2024, so if you need to renew (or get your first passport), do it now. Even with expedited service, wait times are unpredictable so…don’t wait.
Do I need to be vaccinated to go to Marrakech? No.
Will there be downtime? Yes, there will be open mornings, afternoons & evenings interspersed through the schedule, plus a fully open day at the end of the trip.
Everything else is included inside the private retreat portal. But if you have any questions before you make the jump, email me at dayka@daykarobinson.com
